Mirko von Berner is an Art Director with experience in design, coordination, production and direction for scenery, dressing, and props for the realization of movies, videos, photography and publicitary and artistics shows .
Since 1999 he has been doing the art direction for Fernando Sariñana’s "Amar te Duele", "Ciudades Oscuras" and "El Segundo Aire", Claudio Faeh’s "Coronado", Gustavo Loza’s "Atlético San Pancho" and Angel Flores Torres’"Piedras Verdes"movies, as well as for several shortmovies
In the meanwhile he has realized the art direction for several TV commercials, photographies, music videos, and sceneries for music concerts and entries for TV programs with diferent companies as CineSouth, Top Films, Documenta Films, Mancuerna Films, Productora Imaginaria, Omni Producciones, Central Films, Planeta Films, Ocesa Presenta, Televisa, Clío, Canal 22, et all.
He gets experience working with renowned directors, as on-set decorator on Julian Schnabel’s "Before Night Falls", as leadman on Michael Campbell’s "The Mask of Zorro" and as scenographer for Gabriel Retes’ "A Sweet Scent of Death" when he starts to introduce digital systems to visualize the scenaries and equally realized digital animations for Álex de la Iglesia’s "Perdita Durango" and Agustín Calderón’s "Inaudito" as well for several TV commercials.
In 1993 the internationally renowned director Arturo Ripstein invited him to participate painting a mural for the movie "Principio y Fin", work that received a nomination in the scenary category in the XXXVI Entrega del Ariel of the Academia Mexicana de Artes Cinematográficas. And in 1996 repeat with the same director in "Profundo Carmesí".
Furthermore has realized mural paintings for Pablo Gómez-Saénz’s "Tres Minutos en la Oscuridad", Rafael Montero’s "Embrujo de Rock", Ernesto Rimoch’s "El Anzuelo", and also "La Señora Cónsul" and the "La Otra Conquista". Also realized paintings and storyboards for several movies, TV commercials and shows as the "Vive Latino" music concert. Also helped the sculptor Iker Larrauri to eleborate several sculptures installed in the Mayan Culture Musseum in Chetumal, Quintana Roo, México.
Has colaborated as well with art teams with Salvador Parra, Cristina Faesler, Laura Lisker, Pedro Moreno and Angeles Martínez from 1995 to 1998 in several national and international projects. He has experience in more than 50 national and international advertising TV commercials.
